NOTICE: Extension of Simplified Visa Application Requirements

Effective Period: _January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026_

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines has extended the simplified visa application requirements for the following eligible applicants and their immediate family members:

1. Elected Politicians

Eligible positions include Senators, Congressmen, Governors, Provincial Board Members, and City/Municipal Mayors.

* Required Documents:

* Certificate of Employment or Appointment (original)

* Proof of Relationship (for family members)

* Bank certificate, bank statements, and ITR are waived

2. Government Officials

Applies to officials ranked Assistant Secretary or higher, and Brigadier Generals in the AFP/PNP.

(Note: Those with “acting” positions are not eligible.)

* Required Documents:

* Certificate of Employment (must include office name, position, period of employment, and salary)

* Proof of Relationship (for family members)

* Bank certificate, bank statements, and ITR are waived

Includes professionals with a valid PRC ID or IBP ID (e.g., doctors, dentists, lawyers, CPAs, pharmacists, veterinarians).

* Required Documents:

* Certificate of Employment (original)

* Copy of PRC or IBP ID

*Bank certificate, bank statements, and ITR are waived
